Description

Bacillus subtilis is a spore-forming bacteria which is commonly found in soil and other organisms.

It produces surfactant which may be able to inactivate certain lipid-enveloped viruses, such as HSV. 1

It produces protease and amylase, which are essential for protein splitting. 2 This could potentially increase viral activity, though more study is needed. 3
