Ciprofloxacin *

Ciprofloxacin is a strong fluoroquinolone antibiotic that should be used only as a last resort in treating difficult infections. The FDA has issued a black box warning for this drug. You should avoid it if there are any alternatives.

It is particularly damaging if you have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, are at increased risk of aortic aneurysm, have high blood pressure, higher risk of colon cancer, higher risk of vascular disease, or elderly.

This warning applies to all versions of the drug, including oral and eye drop usage. 1

Niclosamide *

Niclosamide is a pharmaceutical drug primarily used to treat parasitic infections.
